2022 Domaine Croix & Courbet Savadonnay Cotes du Jura

The Jura is often compared to Burgundy due to the fact that they’re neighbors, and they both produce savory, salty white wines. The winemaker friends behind Burgundy’s Domaine des Croix and the Jura’s Domaine Courbet seem to think the comparisons are justified, forming a sort of union between the two French regions at Croix & Courbet. Based in the Jura, this blend of chardonnay and savagnin tastes like a particularly nutty version of White Burgundy, or perhaps a particularly clean and floral version of savagnin. Either way, it's delicious.
