As the base of the blend, Pinot Noir contributes mushroom, earth, and fresh acidity. Syrah is the smoke and dark cherry while Grenache and Mourvedre add saltiness and meatiness. All the vineyards we work with for this blend are cold-climate sites which makes this wine very fresh and not heavy-handed.
